The Noodle Festival is a festival that would be held in Sacramento. The goal of the festival is to promote and educate the community on Asian culture through the cuisine. The festival would feature noodles dishes from different Asian cultures such as Cambodian, Chinese, Hmong, and Thai.  The project includes a logo, letterhead, business card, takeaways, packaging, website, and a mailer brochure.

The logo mark derives from the Chinese symbol “Lu” meaning prosperity. The aesthetic of a circular frame, geometric lines, and angles were incorporate with “fest” short for festival in order to create that same traditional oriental feel but a more modern way.

The typeface chosen is Amboy, a sans serif that has geometric qualities that matched the logomark with its squared ends and rounded curves.

The brochure was incorporated into the mailer so that receivers can see which vendors will be in attendance as well as other information about the festival.

The business card is sent with the brochure and features a stamp card on the backside. Those in attendance would get a stamp for each noodle sample they try. Once filled they will receive a to-go box containing a festival shirt and chopsticks. The website is a responsive site that provides all the details about the festival.
